Renwick Museum preserves the history and memorabilia of Renwick Village and surrounds.

ITEMS ON DISPLAY INCLUDE:

John Vorbach's Bicycle
Handmade by this early Renwick Blacksmith from number eight fencing wire and machinery parts.

Blacksmith Shop
Early Harness, implements and “Man Trap”.

Sheepskin Tavern - Renwick's first tavern
Scene of meetings that led to the succession of Marlborough from Nelson in 1859.

Antique China Bay
Displaying the ornate and beautiful ornaments, dishes and trinkets of the past.

The Renwick Bay
Featuring memorabilia of Dr Thomas Renwick, founder of Renwicktown with pride of place given to his chest.

The Dairy Bay
A collection of traditional farm and kitchen equipment.

A specialty of the museum is family history of settlers of Renwick and surrounding districts. Our genealogist is much in demand, her knowledge reinforced by a large collection of photographs and family histories.

The Renwick Museum & Watson Memorial Library is located next to the Postshop on High Street and is open daily from 9am - 5pm. Staff are on hand Mondays from 10am - 4pm or by arrangement. Admission is by donation.
